If you are interested to learn about infrastructure, you are in the right place.  We explore infrastructure.  You can learn alongside as we share stories of the brightest doers in the world of infrastructure.​  We are interested in how the built environment interacts with people and nature.

Industry professionals are welcome, but the aim is to keep our stories accessible to non-professionals.  We intend to avoid jargon.

What is Infrastructure?

Infrastructure is “the basic systems and services that are needed in order to support an economy, for example, transport, [waste], and communication systems and electricity, [power,] and water supplies.” – Cambridge Dictionary

Jason Toth, P.E., PMP is a retired US Army Engineer Officer with 20 years experience as a combat and civil engineer leading infrastructure and heavy civil works projects.  Jason led several US Army engineering organizations in rebuilding host-nation infrastructure overseas and partnered with federal, state and local government leaders to plan, design, build and repair infrastructure across the United States. 

 

Jason has a passion for the leadership role engineer's have in our Nation's infrastructure, infrastructure sustainability and resilience, building collaborative teams, and engineering education.   

Scott Snelling, P.E. has 20 years of experience as an engineer and project/program manager on heavy civil works.  Scott has led teams to design, build, and repair bridges, movable structures, dams, tunnels, water systems, and marine installations on six continents.

Scott also has a deep interest in the topics of risk management, monte-carlo simulation, corporate valuation, corporate governance, competitive strategy, and incentives.
